Sydmar Lodge has 52 en-suite bedrooms, a spacious dining room, a library and two stylish lounges where residents can relax in comfort.
As well as offering space and quiet areas, Sydmar Lodge is designed to provide maximum comfort and support. Each floor is serviced by two large lifts which can accommodate two wheelchairs as well as handrails in the halls.
Residents can benefit from hydrotherapy massages using specialist baths that have rising chairs and side opening doors to enable easy access.
Most of our baths are also fitted with a facility for relaxation and therapeutic sessions. We have a tranquil south-facing garden with a patio, flower beds and tables, enjoyed by residents and families.
Sydmar Lodge offers a variety of onsite facilities, including a hairdressing salon with a visiting stylist. People also benefit from regular visits from manicurists, beauticians, chiropodists and opticians.
We have established strong links with the local community and residents enjoy regular visits from schools and charity groups.
Whenever help is needed, we have state of the art call bell system to alert staff in all areas of the home. All rooms have television points, high level power points and two way lighting.
Meal times are an important part of the day at Sydmar Lodge. Table service in the dining room is standard for mealtimes and we are happy to serve meals elsewhere, including breakfast in bed. Afternoon tea in the garden is a regular treat in fine weather and this can easily be arranged for family and friends.
Our experienced catering staff prepare a varied menu of home-cooked food every day and we observe traditional Jewish meal customs including the Sabbath as well as cooking, preparing and serving food that is Kosher.
We boast a fully equipped milk and meat kitchen with full time dedicated chefs and staff preparing delicious meals including during festivals. At all meals, there is a choice of dishes and our chefs will be pleased to make residents’ favourites and individual preferences.
